Elise’s mini mansion is decorated in typical “New Fae” style; Euro-Trash meets 90’s hip-hop music video excess. Bottles of Cristal in buckets on nearly every table, loud EDM music pumping from tiny speakers tucked into the nooks of the ceiling corners and half naked giggling sycophants painted in day-glo pinks and blues scampering from room to room.
I try not to sneer at the raucous. I would have been at a party like this less than a year ago; sniffing Bella and ignoring everyone.
Porsche snatches a bottle of Dom from a passing human being drug on a leash by a True Fae. True Fae hail from the British Isles. We got lumped in with them cause no one knew how to classify us.
We’re technically Hathorians; descendants of the Egyptian Goddess Hathor. Sex, Sun and Fun at your service and clearly at work in this bastion of hedonism. I just hope nobody gets pregnant; we’re known for that too.

Quite the party scene all right. Conveys a lot in a few sentences!
Sounds like a great party! Though the human on the leash is a bit ominous.
Sounds just the sort of party the fae would enjoy! And with Hathorians and true fae, it sounds likely to become more, not less raucous. Good description – very vivid!
Serving drinking while being dragged around on a leash … sounds like a wet rug about to happen.
I wonder how many times ‘x’ mythical beings have gotten lumped together. Humans aren’t too precise with their labels.
Excellent snippet in every way– the voice is strong, the imagery is visible (though now I’m haunted by a mashup of Euro trash and 90’s hip hop dancers :S), and the world building is great. Can’t wait for more!
